Arequipa

Day 1 

After your arrival, we will take you to your hotel.

Then you will start by visiting the colonial centre of the city. where you'll visit the cathedral as well as the "Plaza de Armas" and its museum. You'll also be able to visit the famous Santa Catalina monastery.

If you arrive on a saturday, we can organize a social aimed visit for you, such as a visit of a daycare center, a school, a slum or  a volcanic stone quarry.

Moreover, you'll have the opportunity to take some traditional cooking classes with a real Arequipenian cook! He or she will reveal you the secrets of a typical Arequipenian dish and will teach you the famous recipe of the "Pisco Sour". 

The Colca Canyon

Day 2 

Departure in the morning for the Colca Canyon! A mini van will come and pick you up at your hotel, and you will drive through the pampa all the way up to the canyon. You'll stop at probably one of the highest point of your trip, the Patapampa passage, at 4910m above the sea level. At this moment you'll be able to see the majestic volcanos of Chachani and Mistio.

Your journey will continue through the Andean camelids reserve where you'll be able to observe numerous alpagas, lamas, and also groups of vicunas.

You'll have the possibility to pic-nic on top of the plateau of the national reserve. At your arrival in Chivay (the region's capital, at 3635m high), if you want to, you'll be able to enjoy some hot springs in the thermal station "la Calera", perfect place to relax in the middle of the Andean mountains. 

Traditional evening in a typical village of the Colca valley, where if you want to, you could try some of the famous alpaga meat!

Cruz del condor

Day 3

You will leave early this morning. A mini van will come and pick you up at your hotel. You'll enter the Colca Valley national park and will stop several time at different spots. Among them, you'll stop at the scenic spot "Cruz del Condor" where you will be able to meet the "king of the Andes", condors. 

Take advantage of this stop to walk a little bit and to enjoy the amazing landscapes and the Inca terraces arround you. The brave athletes will have the opportunity to have a bike ride along the canyon!

At the end of the afternoon, we will organise your return to Arequipa.
